ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE REDENSYL® ACTIVE INGREDIENT:
We have on average between 110,000 and 150,000 hairs on our head. The surface area of our scalp is about 600 cm².
Hair is produced by the hair follicle and each follicle produces about 30 hairs in a lifetime.
The hair grows about 1 cm per month and we lose between 50 and 100 hairs a day.
The life cycle of the hair can be broken down into the following 3 phases:
- the Anagen phase that lasts between 3 and 5 years is the period of hair development;
- the Catagen phase that lasts 3 weeks is the period when the hair is between life and death.
Its root goes back to the epidermis and it suddenly stops working. The hair ceases to grow.
- The Telogen phase or rest phase lasts about 2 to 3 months, at which point the hair is dead and ready to fall out. It stays on the head until the root of the replacement hair is strong enough to replace it.
- Redensyl® acts on the hair follicle and fibroblasts to revive hair growth while slowing down the time it takes for the hair to fall out. According to the clinical study, Redensyl® yields better clinical results in 84 days than those of a hair transplant performed by a plastic surgeon.
The volunteers treated with Redensyl®, compared with a placebo, demonstrate the following:
-17% fewer hairs in the "drop out" phase;
9% more hairs in the growth phase;
> up to 9400 new hairs in one month and 28,200 new hairs in 3 months (given that the average of a transplant is 8000 hairs).
